Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated trauma recovery patients while synthesizing data to optimize outcomes based on ANA standards. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to proactively resolve patient needs, coordinate family education, and facilitate care transitions. Perform validated technical skills, utilize technology to optimize care delivery, and lead by delegating tasks based on team member skills and patient acuity. Mentor new colleagues, interns, and department members, while participating in performance improvement processes and evidence-based practice projects. Maintain clinical competency, ensure a safe work environment, and demonstrate commitment to quality and safety in accordance with facility policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Nursing program
- Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice
- Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care
- Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty
- Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies
- Basic computer skills
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
- Frequent to continuous standing/walking
- Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift
- Activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR
