Job Summary
Provide treatment and health care procedures ordered by a physician and required by the standards of professional practice. Ensure individuals attend medical appointments per their Individual Support Plan (ISP) and monitor health and medical conditions, referring for services as needed. Create and distribute medical/health reports detailing general health, goals, and physician recommendations while developing and updating Individual Support Plans with an interdisciplinary team. Conduct programmatic trainings on medication administration, delegation, and assigned individuals' medical needs. Advise supervisors of all concerns related to nursing services and follow strict OSHA procedures regarding bloodborne pathogens.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in nursing field
- Minimum of one year of experience providing nursing services to individuals with disabilities
- Valid R.N. license
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to calculate figures related to medication dosages
- Understanding and commitment to community-based support for persons with disabilities
