Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect patient care in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Administer safe, accurate medications and IVs while ensuring complete and timely written communication of patient information. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote a therapeutic environment and educate patients or families on their care plans. Maintain a safe facility by adhering to hospital standards and utilizing effective communication skills with coworkers and patients. Work Monday through Sunday from 07:00 to 17:30, with 100% indoor duties and occasional exposure to blood, body fluids, and electrical equipment. Methodist Charlton Medical Center is a Magnet-designated, Level III Trauma Center recognized for excellence in cardiac care and STEMI treatment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Minimum 12 months RN experience or completion of Nurse Residency Program
- Knowledgeable about hospital policies, procedures, and nursing care standards
