Job Summary
Assess patient conditions and document findings to develop nursing care plans, while collaborating with the medical team to monitor and modify treatment as needed. Perform prescribed basic nursing skills, make rounds to evaluate symptoms and medication reactions, and prioritize assignments to complete typical patient duties within the shift. Educate patients and families on treatments and procedures, assist in discharge planning, and lead student nurses and ancillary personnel. Maintain accurate records, participate in performance improvement studies, and stay current on new nursing procedures to ensure quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
- up to one year of work-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- current state license as a Registered Nurse and is listed in good standing with the state's Department of Professional Credentialing
- current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
