Job Summary
RN on a FULL_TIME weekend position providing nursing care for patients in a psychiatric/chemical-dependency treatment setting. Responsibilities include recording patient history, administering medications and injections, taking vitals, conducting nursing assessments, facilitating health education groups, medication education for new patients, collaborating with therapists and the treatment team, documenting orders, maintaining CPR/First Aid and infection control training, and participating in quality-improvement and committees. Requires Bachelor of Nursing, current state nursing license, CPR certification, and 1 year of mental-health patient experience (psychiatric/partial hospitalization/outpatient preferred). Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor of Nursing.
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience working with mental health patients in a chemical dependency/psychiatric setting, in a partial hospitalization and/or outpatient setting preferred.
- Licensed to practice nursing in the appropriate state and maintains current licensure per state requirements.
- Maintains current CPR certification.
