Job Summary
Registered Nurse on the A6 West Neurology unit providing professional nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to support patients with neurological conditions, including stroke care and management of neurology-focused cases. Role includes leadership to facilitate care delivery, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and families, and execution of medically prescribed interventions in a 36-bed med-surg neuro tele unit with an epilepsy monitoring component (EMU). The unit emphasizes collaboration, ongoing learning, and opportunities for growth toward advanced nursing roles (e.g., ICU, NP, CRNA).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or enrollment in BSN program and to obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire into RN position
- Current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON); eNLC license may apply
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification
