Job Summary
Render highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Direct and supervise other assigned team members while collaborating with multidisciplinary staff to provide age-appropriate care in accordance with unit standards. Communicate clearly, build relationships to promote collaboration, and take initiative for professional growth within the Magnet-designated hospital environment. Maintain current Basic Life Support Certification and Texas nursing licensure with at least 12 months of L&D experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Current additional certifications as required by department
- Current license to practice professional nursing in Texas or eligibility to do so
- Work experience: at least 12 months L&D RN experience
