Job Summary
Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and environmental needs. Direct and lead assigned team members while collaborating with multidisciplinary staff to deliver age-appropriate care. Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment through patient privacy and professional behavior, and coordinate care services by identifying clinical priorities to improve outcomes. Participate in shared governance, peer review, and professional development to promote leadership and clinical excellence. Schedule: 36 hours per week. Benefits include up to $25,000 student loan repayment, state health benefits, pension plan, parental leave, and PTO. Requires South Carolina or Compact RN license and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- South Carolina or Compact State RN License
- American Heart Association BLS Certification
- 36 hours per week
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
- Proficiency in manual dexterity and fine motor skills for tasks such as taking patient vitals, administering injections, or conducting physical exams
- Capacity to lift and move patients or medical equipment as needed
- Visual acuity and color perception to accurately read medical charts, documents, and monitors
- Auditory ability to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues, as well as to perceive important sounds such as alarms or patient instructions
- Stamina and resilience to handle the physical and emotional demands of providing patient care, including long shifts and potentially stressful situations
- Mobility to navigate clinical environments, including moving between patient rooms, offices, and other areas of the facility
- Compliance with infection control protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
