Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients in the Obstetrics department, maintaining professional accountability and evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers. Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality of information are upheld. Maintain a current RN license within the hiring state or via compact licensure, and obtain required certifications including ACLS, PALS, and BLS. This full-time evening and night shift role involves prolonged standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- LPN-IV Certification must be previously completed or successful completion of course within 3 months of hire
- Other unit-specific certifications as required
- Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Shift: Nights, Evenings, Holidays, Weekends
