Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care pre, during, and post procedure in outpatient vascular centers, assisting physicians with moderate sedation, contrast media injections, and IV insertion. Monitor patient conditions for complications, administer medications per orders, and perform point-of-care laboratory testing. Maintain medical records, complete chart audits, and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Support continuous quality improvement initiatives, manage inventory, and maintain a clean, safe facility environment. Work a predictable Monday through Friday schedule with no weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Associate's Degree
- Bachelor's Degree
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (R.N.)
- Current appropriate state licensure
- ACLS certification
- 4 - 6 years' related experience
- Office Based Surgical Center/Ambulatory Surgical Center/Vascular Access, Cardiac Cath Lab, or a combination of ASC, surgical, Interventional Radiology and ICU/CCU or emergency department experience
- Proficient in the use of computers and related software such as Microsoft Office
- Proficient in IV insertion
- Proficient in cardiac rhythm recognition
- Experience with Medical database software
- Certified in BLS & ACLS successfully completed course certifications
- Must be able to lift 200 lbs
- Must be able to bend over
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods
- Must be able to move patients and equipment with assistance
- Must be able to wear protective gear in procedure rooms for extended periods of time
- Must comply with HIPPA policies and standards regarding patient information and medical records
- Must comply with Fresenius Medical Care drug-free workplace policy
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree desirable
- Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
- 4 - 6 years' related experience preferred
