Job Summary
Assess care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate care plans for dialysis patients with chronic or acute kidney injury. Provide holistic nursing support autonomously across 20 haemodialysis stations serving up to 80 patients at a 1:4 ratio. Complete the 8-week Fundamental Dialysis Programme upon joining and work rotating shifts Monday to Saturday. This fixed-term full-time role (37.5 hours) is based at the Kilkenny Dialysis Unit in partnership with the Health Service Executive. Required Qualifications
- NMBI Registered Nurse
- healthcare experience within a main stream healthcare setting
- worked within an acute medical, surgical field
- current or previous renal nursing experience
- adaptable with the right attitude and aptitude to work in a busy dialysis clinic
- commitment and passion
- skills and competencies to juggle the technical nursing aspect whilst giving holistic care
- working autonomously
- responsible for the assessment of care needs
- development, implementation and evaluation of care for dialysis patients with chronic kidney disease or acute kidney injury
- Fixed Term contract full time role of 37.5 hours a week
- Current days are working various shifts Monday to Saturday
