Job Summary
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, evaluate and treat clients, and monitor vital signs while reporting changes to the healthcare team. Provide nursing services in both home and school environments, coordinate patient care plans and follow-up appointments, and maintain accurate documentation in eMAR systems. Demonstrate proper equipment use and ensure HIPAA compliance. Requires a Michigan-licensed RN with at least one year of home care experience, including skills in G-Tube feeding, trach/vent management, cough assist, seizure interventions, and straight catheterization. Flexible scheduling available with PRN opportunities and shift differentials.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Registered Nurse who is licensed by the State of Michigan
- Current, unencumbered license as an RN
- License in good standing in the state of Michigan
- Maintain all state and federal compliance requirements for licensure and employment
- Valid driver's license issued by the state in which they work
- Satisfactory driving record
- Minimum of one year of home care experience
- One additional year of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital
- Experienced with G-Tube feeding
- Experienced with Trachs/Vents
- Experienced with cough assist treatment
- Experienced with seizure interventions
- Experienced with straight catheterization
- Ability to use computerized eMAR and documentation systems
- Satisfactory verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Travel is required for business purposes
