Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) for Mayo Clinic's Seasonal Night Float Pool. Responsibilities include coordinating nursing care, direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care; practicing within Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model with accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care; leadership roles such as preceptor, informal/formal leadership, and quality improvement; may delegate patient care based on skill level and resources; may drive personal vehicle as needed. Qualifications include a bachelor’s-degree nursing program graduate and current RN license; BLS and ACLS required on hire; BSN preferred; PCU/ICU experience; proficiency with electronic medical record systems; strong communication and teamwork abilities; schedule includes 12-hour night shifts and variable hours with weekend/holiday considerations. This role is TN-sponsored and available at Mayo Clinic locations (Phoenix, AZ; Jacksonville, FL; Rochester, MN) with on-site requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a baccalaureate nursing program
- Current RN license by applicable state requirements
- BSN preferred
- BLS & ACLS required upon hire
- PCU or ICU experience required
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations
- Demonstrated leadership and critical thinking skills
