Job Summary
Registered Nurse Float Pool II for Atrium Health Pineville ED — Full-time weekend program requiring float between Pineville ED and three freestanding EDs (Steele Creek, Providence, Ballantyne). At least 1 year ED experience. Provides comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process, engages patients and families, ensures safety, documents in EHR, and collaborates with care teams. May float to other units or facilities within the service area; adheres to ANA Ethics and promotes ethical decision-making. Requires BSN preferred, active RN license, and BLS. Responsibilities include monitoring patient conditions, adjusting care plans, delegating appropriately, pursuing professional development, and maintaining certifications. Strong communication, critical thinking, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program
- Active, unrestricted RN license with privileges in the state(s) where providing client nursing services
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year ED experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
