Job Summary
Float to all in-patient areas and the Emergency Department according to DH floating guidelines as staffing needs change. Assess patient needs to identify health or safety problems, monitor and record vital signs, and develop or modify patient care and treatment plans based on patient responses. Administer nursing care, medications, and assist with examinations while maintaining accurate documentation and reports. Direct and supervise less skilled personnel as needed, instruct families on health education, and collaborate with the healthcare team to evaluate care outcomes. Adhere to ANA standards and provide 24/7 coverage including nights, holidays, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- Registered Nurse - DORA - Department of Regulatory Agencies
- BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- One year experience in a direct patient care setting
- Adherence to Standards of Professional Nursing Practice/ Process / Performance [ANA Standards addendum- signed] and accrediting body standards
- Ability to use medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Shift Days (United States of America)
