Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the Sarasota Memorial Health Care System nursing professional practice model and ANA's Standards of Professional Practice. Float to all Sarasota Memorial Health Care System hospital campuses as needed. Maintain current Basic Life Support/CPR and Florida Registered Nurse License, and complete Basic Arrhythmia testing within 90 days of employment. Obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six months and NIH Stroke Scale certification within 30 days of hire. Demonstrate basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications and graduate from an accredited nursing school or diploma program with two years of relevant work experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program
- Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN)
- Two (2) years of relevant work experience
- Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia test within 90 days of employment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six (6) months of hire
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale certification within thirty (30) days of hire
- Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications
- FL Registered Nurse License
- Background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
