Registered Nurse Float – Critical Care, serving on Neuro and Cardiothoracic ICU units with responsibilities including assessing and planning care, implementing and evaluating plans, supervising non-RN personnel, acting as Charge Nurse, and precepting new staff. Roles involve neuro assessments, airway management, ventilator and tracheostomy care, post-operative cardiac surgery care (CABG/valve), and advanced therapies such as ECMO/ventricular assist devices, as well as participation in patient education and family involvement. BSN preferred; Current CT RN licensure required with BCLS certification within one month of hire. Unit-specific specialty knowledge includes Cardiac ICU, CTICU, and Heart Failure management within a high-acuity environment.
