Registered Nurse Float - Critical Care

Registered Nurse Float – Critical Care role involves assessing patients’ physical and psychosocial conditions, developing and communicating individualized plans of care, coordinating care with the healthcare team, and educating patients and families. Responsibilities include supervising non-RN staff, serving as charge nurse as needed, and performing specialized neuro care tasks such as neuro assessment, airway management for neuro patients, suctioning for pharyngeal/tracheostomy care, and assisting with ventilated patients. The RN will demonstrate competency in the Tia teaching program, care for patients with Halo braces, and involvement in neuro procedures, with an emphasis on education, patient outcomes, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
