Registered Nurse Float – Critical Care

Registered Nurse Float – Critical Care position focusing on neuro/care in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include assessing the patient’s physical and psychosocial condition on an ongoing basis, developing, communicating and documenting a plan of care with involvement of patient and family, coordinating and evaluating care, planning education after assessing learning needs, serving as a preceptor to new staff and as a charge nurse, and demonstrating competency in neuro care including airway management, care of ventilated patients, suctioning, tracheostomy care, and use of the TIa Teaching Program; requires BSN preferred, 1 year acute nursing experience, and Connecticut RN license; BLS required.
