Job Summary
Registered Nurse on a Neuro/Critical Care/unit with responsibilities including ongoing patient assessments, developing and documenting individualized care plans, coordinating with the healthcare team, supervising non-RN staff, serving as charge nurse and preceptor, and educating patients and families. Requires managing airway/ventilator care, neuro-focused procedures, suctioning (pharyngeal, endotracheal, tracheostomy), Halo brace care, and adherence to the facility’s teaching program. BSN preferred; CT RN license; 1 year acute nursing experience; BLS; strong teamwork, patient-centered care, and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate Of An Accredited School Of Nursing
- BSN Preferred
- Proficient In Use Of Computer Software To Include Electronic Patient Records
- Must Have Ability To Use Internet For Literature Searches Regarding Care For Patients
- 1 Year acute nursing experience required
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- BLS Required
- Critical Care or Emergency experience preferred
