Registered Nurse Float – Critical Care

Registered Nurse Float – Critical Care on a nursing unit, providing continuous assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care under the supervision of the Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator. Responsibilities include supervising non-RN personnel, acting as Charge Nurse, and acting as a Preceptor to new staff. Demonstrates competency in neuro care, airway management, and specialized neuro procedures, including suctioning of pharyngeal, endotracheal, and tracheostomy care, and knowledge of the Tia teaching program. Requires ability to use electronic patient records, and a BSN is preferred. The role emphasizes patient education, collaboration with the healthcare team, and ongoing evaluation of care plans. Qualifications include BSN preferred, 1 year of acute nursing experience, CT RN license, and BLS.
