Job Summary
RN on a Neuro/Critical Care unit responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient care; supervise non-RN personnel; may serve as Charge Nurse; develop and document individualized care plans, educate patients and families, and ensure smooth unit operation. Responsibilities include neuro assessment, airway management, endotracheal/tracheostomy suctioning, care of patients with halo brace, ventilated patients, and teaching through the TIA program; acts as a preceptor and participates in performance reviews and staff development. Requires BSN preferred and 1 year of acute nursing experience; CT RN license and BLS required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate Of An Accredited School Of Nursing
- BSN Preferred
- 1 Year acute nursing experience required
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- BLS Required
