Job Summary
Provides and coordinates patient care on a nursing unit under Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator supervision. Develops, communicates, and documents a Plan of Care for individualized patient problems; involves patient, family, and healthcare team. Performs neuro-focused assessments, plans for education, and evaluates outcomes; functions as a preceptor to new staff and as a charge nurse. Demonstrates skill in neuro assessment, airway management including pharyngeal/endotracheal/tracheostomy suctioning, and care of patients with Halo braces and ventilators. Supports education through the TIA teaching program and ensures high levels of customer service and teamwork. Requires BSN preferred and 1 year NICU RN experience; valid CT RN license; BLS.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
- BSN preferred
- 1 Year Neonatal ICU RN experience
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- BLS Required
