Job Summary
Registered Nurse Float - Critical Care role involves assessing and planning individualized patient care, implementing and evaluating plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, and supervising non‐RN personnel on the unit. Responsibilities include acting as charge nurse, precepting new staff, developing and documenting care plans, coordinating patient education and referrals, and performing specialized neuro/airway management procedures (e.g., suctioning for neuro patients, tracheostomy care, ventilator management). The RN will care for patients across units, ensure high-quality service, and support discharge planning while upholding the organization’s values and patient-centered approach.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate Of An Accredited School Of Nursing
- BSN Preferred
- 1 Year Neonatal ICU RN experience required
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- BLS Required
- Proficient In Use Of Computer Software To Include Electronic Patient Records
- Must Have Ability To Use Internet For Literature Searches Regarding Care For Patients
