Registered Nurse Float – Critical Care

Registered Nurse on a Neuro ICU/critical care unit with float assignment. Responsibilities include assessing patients continuously, developing and documenting a plan of care, implementing and coordinating care with the healthcare team, evaluating patient response and readiness for discharge, educating patients and families, serving as a preceptor to new staff, and functioning as charge nurse. Demonstrates competency in neuro nursing, airway management for neuro patients, care of tracheostomy and ventilated patients, and familiarity with the unit's teaching program.
