Job Summary
Registered Nurse Float in Critical Care: provides ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care on a nursing unit, coordinates with the healthcare team, functions as a preceptor/charge nurse as needed, and demonstrates competency in neuro care, airway management, ventilated patient care, and specialized procedures. Requires BSN preferred, CT RN license, 1 year NICU experience, and BLS; proficient with electronic patient records and computer use. Serves under the Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator and may rotate to other nursing units to meet staff/patient needs; duties include education about post-discharge planning, plan-of-care development, and performance in customer service and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate Of An Accredited School Of Nursing; BSN Preferred
- Valid State Of Connecticut Registered Nurse License
- 1 Year Neonatal ICU RN experience required
- BLS Required
- Proficient In Use Of Computer Software To Include Electronic Patient Records
