Job Summary
Delivers high-quality patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse, adhering to PH Standards of Behavior and meeting the unique needs of assigned patients. Performs basic patient care tasks while demonstrating critical thinking skills to multi-task and work independently. Requires CPR certification within 60 days of hire and ability to lift 50 pounds. Candidates must attend four days of orientation covering New Hire, Patient Care, and EPIC systems. Preferred qualifications include CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification and one year of patient care experience. Must possess general computer skills and, if assigned to the Parkview Randallia Family Birthing Center, obtain notary public bonding within six months.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- CPR certification (must obtain within 60 days of hire)
- Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications
- Must be able to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to attend four (4) days of New Hire/Patient Care/EPIC Orientation
- If candidate is at least 17 years of age but does not yet have a current high school diploma/GED, must be actively working towards high school diploma/GED and receive within 2 years of hire
Desired Qualifications
- CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in the patient care setting
