Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients while synthesizing data to optimize outcomes based on ANA standards. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to proactively resolve patient needs and coordinate family education throughout treatment. Utilize evidence-based practice and validated technical skills to maintain a safe work environment, while delegating tasks based on team member skills and patient acuity. Mentor new colleagues and interns, providing input for performance appraisals and participating in performance improvement projects. Deliver professional nursing care in the ICU on night shifts (1900-0730) from Sunday through Saturday, requiring the ability to lift 40-50 lbs and walk 8-10 miles per shift.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Nursing program
- Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice
- Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care
- Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty
- Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies
- Basic computer skills
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania
- Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania
