Job Summary
Manage residents' everyday needs, from clinical to end-of-life care, while creating and following long-term care plans and clinical assessments. Take charge of the care centre on shifts to make appropriate clinical decisions, delivering planned nursing care in partnership with residents and families to enhance their daily lives. Provide guidance and direction to caregivers on shift and build trusted relationships with residents and their families. This 4-month fixed-term, full-time role involves PM shifts only on a 4 days on, 2 days off roster at Summerset's Kenepuru village. Applications close September 1st.
Required Qualifications
- A NZ Registration
- A current Practicing Certificate
- A genuine interest in working with older people
- An understanding of clinical services as they are delivered in a retirement village
- Demonstrated ability to take the lead
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Emotional resilience
- Good communication skills
- Ability to build rapport with a diverse range of people
