Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA), Surgery

Assist the surgeon in performing safe operations with optimal patient results through peri-operative nursing behaviors, including intra-operative assessment and post-operative care evaluation. Conduct independent nursing functions within the surgery team while adhering to strict certification requirements, including a valid RN license, BLS, and CNOR certification for new hires. Complete an RNFA program or hold equivalent CSTFA certification with two years of OR experience.
