Job Summary
Registered Nurse First Assist at Mercy. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care, maintains professional accountability for provision of care for assigned patients, evaluates care effectiveness of other direct caregivers, coordinates patient care with other departments, and maintains patient rights and confidentiality in alignment with Mercy mission and standards. Requires RN licensure, perioperative nursing experience (min 1 year), and BLS/ACLS within first year; CNOR or RN-First Assistant certification preferred. Position supports standing/walking duties with physical requirements and benefits include medical/dental/vision, PTO, tuition support, and retirement plans for eligible staff. Office/location: St. Louis, MO.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Active RN licensure in the state of practice
- Minimum of 1 year perioperative nursing experience
- BLS/ACLS required within first year
- Demonstrates continued competence in assisting and in perioperative nursing
