Job Summary
Perform nursing assessments, collect admission data, and manage adolescent patients across the Ferris School, New Castle County Detention Center, and Residential Cottages. Administer medications safely, interpret test values, and report abnormal findings per guidelines. Navigate the FOCUS system for medication tracking, access the LIMS STD system, and prepare charts for weekly Tele-Psych. Maintain stock supplies, manage expiration dates, and complete yearly VFC trainings while keeping temperature logs current. Respond effectively to emergencies and patient crises, evaluating care plans and patient outcomes against established standards. Work three 12-hour shifts (7P-7A) with weekend and holiday rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the State of Delaware
- BLS
- BSN preferred; ADN considered with agreement of completion of BSN in 3 years
- Prior nursing experience with adolescent psychiatric, community, and/or correctional setting encouraged
- Maintain required credentials of CPR, mandatory inservice education and required continuing education
- Work three, 12-hour shifts per week (7P-7A)
- Work Schedule: 7P-7A shift, 36 hours per week including some weekend and holiday rotation
