Job Summary
Coordinate patient care in collaboration with healthcare professionals, perform physical exams, and administer medications, wound care, and numerous personalized interventions. Screen walk-in patients, triage clinical needs, and conduct psychosocial assessments to identify cultural practices and coping mechanisms. Educate patients on self-medication, chronic illness management, and wellness, while documenting all care accurately in the electronic health record. Recognize adverse signs, react to emergency situations, and facilitate referrals to specialty services and ancillary providers. This role requires recent hands-on nursing experience in multispecialty settings, including flexible shifts and on-call responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen
- Associates Degree of Nursing. Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
- Shall possess one (1) year of clinical or inpatient experience, post-education/graduation and post-licensure, within the last two (2) years providing direct care in multispecialty inpatient or outpatient clinical settings
- Experience must demonstrate recent hands-on proficiency in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nurse care for patients across diverse medical and surgical specialties in accordance with current professional nursing standards
- Family Medicine: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support (BLS) by AHA or American Red Cross
- Must pass TB Test
- Subject to a background/security investigation
- Willingness to comply with DHA vaccination requirements
- Willingness to complete a physical examination
- Pre-employment drug screening
- Required to wear PPE during performance of services
- Walking, long periods of standing, stretching, crouching, bending, stooping, lifting to 50lbs, lifting over 50lbs with assistance
- Exposure to infections disease; toxic, hazardous, or irritating chemicals; carcinogenic materials; noxious fumes; flammable liquids; radiation; pathogenic bacteria; electric hazards
- Contract workers should maintain good personal hygiene and present a well-groomed and professional appearance IAW the policy at the place of performance
