Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) for Child & Adolescent Psychiatric unit in Shaker Heights, OH. Provide nursing care through physical and mental assessments, plans of care, lab testing, and therapeutic treatments for pediatric/adolescent patients (ages 6-17). Perform crisis intervention, de-escalation, and contribute to CQI activities. Administer medications with knowledge of psychotropic drugs, adhere to medication rights, and educate patients and families about plans of care and side effects. Responsibilities include implementing and evaluating care plans, coordinating with the treatment team, ensuring accurate documentation, orienting new staff, and maintaining patient safety in a brand-new 12-bed facility. Requires active RN licensure in OH, BCLS certification, and experience in pediatric/behavioral health settings; BSN preferred. Evening shift opportunities available (11am-11:30pm, 3pm-3:30am, and variations) with potential full- or part-time schedules and weekend requirements. Required Qualifications
- Current OH Registered Nurse Licensure
- BSN preferred
- Current BCLS certification
- A minimum of one (1) year experience with at-risk youth, developmental disabilities, autism or psychiatric/behavioral health nursing highly desirable
