Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the ER provides comprehensive acute care, leading nursing team members under physician direction in collaboration with the health-care team. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care; delivering patient-centered care; applying evidence-based practice; ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes; utilizing informatics for documentation and communication; and coordinating with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff to optimize care and transitions.
Required Qualifications
- Current State license as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications
- TNCC and ENPC certifications (must be obtained within one year of employment)
- ER RN experience preferred in acute care settings
- Education: RN in Michigan with continuing education requirements (pain management, implicit bias)
- BSN preferred
