Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the Enhanced Care Unit (ECU) at Peter MacCallum, located in Melbourne, Australia. The role involves planning, implementing and evaluating evidence-based nursing care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to support cancer patients requiring higher levels of monitoring and clinical support. The ECU provides invasive and non-invasive continuous blood pressure monitoring, haemodynamic support, continuous cardiac monitoring, high flow oxygen, and complex fluid/medication infusions including noradrenaline, epidurals, or intrathecal opioids. Six-bed unit operating 24/7; requires collaboration with Nurse Unit Manager, Nurse Educator, Clinical Leads, ICU Outreach Nurses, Academic Nursing Unit and Specialist Medical teams. Essential requirements include AHPRA Registration and a minimum of 2 years of acute nursing experience; desirable experience in ICU/HDU and postgraduate critical care qualification.
