Registered Nurse - Endoscopy - PRN Days

Job Summary
Plans, implements, and evaluates care of those patients undergoing endoscopic procedures in a timely and accurate manner. Performs comprehensive assessments and plans patient care on an individual basis, collaborating with appropriate team members to coordinate delivery of patient care. Provides education, emotional and psychosocial support for patient and family. Floats to other surgical service areas as necessary to staff. Requires a nursing diploma or degree and a Tennessee nursing license. BLS within 90 days and ACLS within 6 months of hire. Endoscopy unit experience, perioperative care, and proficiency with Meditech Order Entry Computer System, Omnicell Medication System, and endoscopy sterile processing equipment. Able to stand for up to 12 hours, lift up to 250 lbs with assistance, and transport patients on a stretcher.
Required Qualifications
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed in the state of Tennessee
- Must respond to hospital within thirty minutes for "on call" requirements
- One year experience in medical/surgical nursing
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
