Job Summary
Gather and update patient information, vital signs, and chart documentation based on visit type. Administer medications and vaccines, perform diagnostic screenings, and collect specimens for testing. Conduct in-office clinical procedures, place and review orders within the EMR, and relay lab results to patients via phone, portal, or in-person. Provide patient and family education, respond to urgent acute situations, and coordinate care with in-house specialties and community resources. Adhere to industry guidelines, department protocols, and HIPAA confidentiality standards while maintaining required certifications.
Required Qualifications
- ADN or BSN from an accredited institution
- Unencumbered active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Maine
- BLS required within 6 weeks of hire
- Demonstrates excellent professional judgement, phone skills and prioritization decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to rapidly changing, sometimes acute patient care needs
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Proficient in Windows and Microsoft applications
Desired Qualifications
- electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred
