Job Summary
Administer direct nursing care across pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure moderate sedation monitoring, and PACU recovery in strict accordance with hospital policies and procedural protocols. Serve as the primary clinical hub coordinating physicians, anesthesia, pathology, and support staff to carry out orders, process specimens, and maintain seamless procedural workflows. Continuously monitor and document patient status, communicate critical updates via SBAR, and evaluate post-sedation discharge readiness to ensure safe patient handoffs and clear home-care education. This Registered Nurse Endo role at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, TN, supports the endoscopy department with full-time day shifts.
Required Qualifications
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition 'Compact State' obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire
