Job Summary
Assess, diagnose, and implement the nursing process for assigned patients while coordinating patient teaching, quality/safety initiatives, and activities of other health team personnel. Maintain standards of professional nursing through quality communication, teamwork, and leadership. Complete yearly mandatory competencies, unit-specific training, and Professional Practice Ladder requirements including Charge Nurse responsibilities and peer review participation. Salary ranges from $34.00 to $48.87. Requires RN license, BLS certification, and 1872 hours of RN experience; BSN preferred. Located at Valley Health WMC EmPATH Unit.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse II (RN II)
- Education Associates Nursing (RN Diploma, ASN or ADN)
- Bachelors Nursing (BSN)
- 1872 full-time or part-time hours (936 if hold BSN) of RN experience
- RN license
- Licensed or eligible to practice pending licensure as a Registered Nurse in Virginia and/or West Virginia
- Multistate license under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
- Single-state license valid in Virginia or West Virginia only
- BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart 'Healthcare Provider' (HCP) - AHA approved
- American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification
- Must have a reliable means of phone communication with hospital
