Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department provides patient-centered nursing care with emphasis on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsibilities include infection control, safety, discharge instructions, and collaboration within an inter-professional team. Requires current Ontario nursing registration, with a minimum of two years’ medical-surgical experience and emergency experience preferred. Certifications include BCLS; ACLS and Heart and Stroke, within six months of hire. May travel between Osler sites; 12-hour shifts including weekends/holidays; hours may change to meet operational needs. Salary ranges from $41.15–$58.98 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Minimum of two years experience in a medical surgical unit
- Emergency experience within the last five years is preferred
- BCLS is required
- ACLS, Heart and Stroke certified, within six months of hire date is required
