Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Department while directing patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel in Telemetry. Communicate with physicians regarding changes in clinical condition, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology, responding quickly to patient condition changes or treatment responses. Maintain patient privacy, confidentiality, and adherence to EMTALA regulations and abuse reporting protocols. Requires current RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Trauma Nurse Core Course certification, with evening shift availability. Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire
- Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) within 12 months of hire required
Desired Qualifications
- ER setting preferred
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
