Job Summary
The RN in Emergency Services provides direct patient care across the hospital’s emergency department, assesses and plans patient care, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team. Duties include diagnosing, implementing, and evaluating the nursing plan, supervising ancillary staff, addressing educational needs of patients and families to support health restoration, and participating in quality assurance and process-improvement initiatives. The role may require floating to other departments as patient needs dictate. Typical shift is days/evenings with a 0.5 FTE, part-time schedule (40 hours/payperiod) in Ellensburg, WA, with benefits eligibility reviewed per eligibility rules. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current RN license in the State of Washington
- BLS for Healthcare Providers
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
- PALS or ENPC within 6 months of hire
- TNCC within 12 months of hire
- Emergency Severity Index (ESI) training within 6 months
