Job Summary
Assess patients in the Emergency Services Department, screen for acuity and priority, and deliver age-appropriate care across neonatal to geriatric populations. Perform nursing interventions, administer medications, start IVs, and manage wound care while documenting assessments, vital signs, and care plans. Delegate tasks to CNAs, Paramedics, and Unit Clerks, verify consents, and ensure compliance with Joint Commission safety goals and EMTALA guidelines. Participate in quality improvement activities, mentor new staff, and float to other units or emergency shelters as needed.
