Job Summary
Coordinate nursing care for acutely ill patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation while directing assistant utilization and collaborating with physicians and ancillary staff. Develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based research, document patient responses to interventions, and participate in shared governance and unit projects. Maintain ANA standards of professional practice and adhere to all regulatory and accreditation standards. Requires a BSN (or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within three years), current Illinois RN license, BLS, and ACLS/PALS/ENPC/TNCC certifications depending on specialty. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current State of Illinois Registered Professional Nurse
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with others
- Strong analytic abilities
- Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN from an accredited program within three years of first day of employment in clinical nurse role
- ACLS
- PALS/ENPC & TNCC within one year of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support TNCC within one year of hire
- ACLS
