Job Summary
The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room is responsible for providing professional nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes planning, and evaluation. This part-time role requires the RN to maintain accountability for their own practice, delegate to nursing personnel, and collaborate with patients and families. Essential qualifications include an Associate's Degree in Nursing, graduation from an accredited nursing program, current Wisconsin RN license, and various certifications including BLS and ACLS. The position is scheduled for variable days with shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, every 4th weekend, and every 3rd holiday.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing
- Currently licensed by the Board of Licensing and Regulation in the State of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse in good standing
- Current BLS certification at hire
- ACLS certification within 90 days of hire
- NIH Stroke Scale certification within 90 days of hire
- PALS certification within 6 months
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- ENPC Certification
- TNCC Certification
Additional Requirements
- Non-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence training every two years on a rolling calendar
- Basic Computer Skills
- Beginning Skills in Microsoft Office Suite
