Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment, prioritizing care for a broad range of populations while maintaining department throughput. Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on assessments to optimize outcomes, and monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to a multidisciplinary team. Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate transfers, discharges, and referrals, and effectively delegate care to ancillary personnel. Precept student nurses and new hires within scope, requiring critical thinking and decisive judgment with minimal supervision. Full-time, 72-hour nights shift; onsite only.
Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- Registered Nurse Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) Certification
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) Certification
- Emergency Nursing (EN) Certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
- Critical thinking skills
- Decisive judgement
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program (if less than 3 years' experience)
- This position is an onsite role
- Must be available for all shifts
