Job Summary
Registered Nurse - Emergency Room - PRN responsible for coordinating, implementing, and planning nursing care in a timely and accurate manner across adult and pediatric emergency, telemetry, oncology, and critical care settings. Requires Tennessee RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, NVCI/NVCI-related certifications as applicable, and unit-specific credentials within specified timelines. Roles include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, teaching, discharge planning, medication administration, and documentation, with emphasis on adaptability to different units (Adult ER, Pediatric ER, Telemetry, Critical Care, Oncology) and working in a dynamic hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
- Nursing diploma or degree
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- ACLS within 6 months (various units)
- NVCI certification within 6 months (where applicable)
- TNCC/PALS/ENPC where specified
- one year emergency experience preferred for Adult ER or Pediatric ER
- ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year (for Oncology)
- ACLS within 6 months (multiple units)
- PALS within 6 months (for Pediatric ER)
- TNCC preferred for Adult ER?
- PALS within 6 months (Pediatric ER)
- NICU/CCRN/CCP certifications within two years (for critical care)
- RN license in Tennessee
