Job Summary
Coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care for patients in the Emergency Room and related units, including adult and pediatric populations; requires a Tennessee nursing license and a nursing degree, BLS within 90 days of hire, with unit-specific certifications (ACLS, PALS, NVCI, TNCC/ENPC) within defined timeframes. Roles involve trauma/critical care competencies, telemetry, float pool duties, patient/family teaching, medication administration, documentation, and multidisciplinary collaboration. The position supports opportunities across adult emergency, pediatric emergency, and related care delivery as part of Williamson Health’s acute care services.
Required Qualifications
- Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
- Licensed in the State of Tennessee
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- ACLS within 6 months of hire (varies by unit)
- NVCI certification within 6 months of hire (where applicable)
- PALS within 6 months of hire (where applicable)
- TNCC or ENPC within 6 months of hire (where applicable)
- Oncology certification within one year for oncology track
- Pediatric/Pediatric Emergency requirements as specified
- Experience in Emergency Room/Adult or Pediatric units preferred
- Ability to work in telemetry, critical care, and/or float pools
- TN license and ability to perform comprehensive nursing assessments
- Documentation and patient education responsibilities
- Ability to coordinate, implement, and plan nursing care
- Proficiency with standard patient care equipment and medication systems
