Job Summary
Deliver high-quality care to patients with varying levels of illness and injury by triaging situations, assessing acuity, and prioritizing interventions based on emergency protocols. Administer treatments including IVs, medications, and basic life support while cooperating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Assist in resuscitative efforts such as CPR and defibrillator use, prepare equipment for emergency interventions like intubation and central line placement, and stabilize patients for trauma, cardiac arrest, and acute illnesses. Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications and complete required trauma courses within six months. Earn a $20,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates working full-time days shifts from 7am to 7pm at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Current PALS (AHA) certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) within 6 months of hire required
- Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting
- In Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire and maintain current
- EDAP certified facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire
- Non OB facilities: NRP (AHA) certificate 90 days upon hire and maintain current
Desired Qualifications
- ER setting preferred
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
